Since 2020 Kazimba Theatre has been collaborating with Teatro Internacional de Cabo Verde (TICAVE) a new professional theatre company based on Sal Island in Cape Verde. In 2022, the company produced Mark Norfolk's critically acclaimed play Naked Soldiers at Mindelact Theater Festival in Mindelo, Sao Vicente followed by performances in Praia and Santa Maria.

Ka Zimba Theatre aims to tell authentic stories of contemporary Britain that reaches across cultural lines, encouraging young people to explore the society in which they live.

The company was originally developed by leading Shakespearean actor, Jeffery Kissoon as a space for experimentation and training in theatrical expression inspired by the ancient African martial art form of Ka Zimba. His later collaboration with playwright Mark Norfolk led to a renaissance in the concept of socially charged theatre.
